Golf Outing and Dinner
The Glen Club – Glenview, IL

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Put this date on your calendar and join us at this year’s Golf outing. Last year was our first year at The Glen Club. Everyone enjoyed the day on the course, and the Clubhouse's lunch and dinner selections. BIA Board member and former Chicago Bears player Hunter Hillenmeyer is hosting this year's annual golf outing. Joining Hunter at The Glen Club will be Lauren Jiggetts of NBC5, Bob Love of the Chicago Bulls, Former Bears player Brent Novoselsky, and other celebrity golfers.

Tickets will be the same as last year, $350 per golfer or $1300 for a Foursome. We have a variety of sponsorship opportunities available for this outing. Your sponsorship helps us raise money for our programs and services.

BIA of Illinois Therapeutic Recreational Camp Program

The Brain Injury Association of Illinois has the only camp program in Illinois developed specifically for children and adults who have sustained an acquired brain injury. The BIA of Illinois hosts its camp program at the Easter Seals Timber Pointe Outdoor Center. The camp counselors and program staff are trained by the BIA of Illinois and receive ongoing support and assistance during camp from BIA staff. In addition to the scheduled camp activities, campers participate in BIA programs (Peer Outreach, The Essentials, and Advocacy training). Each camper is assigned to their own camp counselor. A camp nurse is available round the clock for medication administration and medical needs. The camp program and schedule addresses cognitive and physical needs of campers.

Each camper application is reviewed to ensure the camper is appropriate for the camp program, and to ensure that the camper’s needs can be safely and appropriately met while at camp. The camp fee does not include the rental of medical equipment and supplies that may be needed by the camper, nor 1:1 caregiver coverage.

The Camp Raffle is a way to support the BIA of Illinois camp program.

This year’s Camp Raffle prizes are:

$300 VISA Cash Card, Kindle E-Reader, and an iPod Nano.
